Sustainable Sanitation and Water Supply for the Seidemann Nursery School, The Gambia. In collaboration with Safi vzw, Humasol is supporting the Seidemann Nursery School in Brikama, located in the West Coast Region of The Gambia.

The project aims to renovate and expand the school’s sanitation facilities while improving access to clean water and electricity. The existing six toilets will be replaced by EcoSan units, and four additional toilets will be constructed to meet the growing needs of the school community. A new water tank system will provide reliable water for both the sanitation blocks and twenty new handwashing stations, promoting hygiene and health among the children. To enhance the school’s self-sufficiency, the team will also assess possibilities for restoring the solar installation, damaged during recent floods, and introducing a backup water pump to ensure continuous irrigation of the school garden.

Through this initiative, Humasol and Safi vzw aim to create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable learning environment, empowering the school to continue providing education to children from vulnerable families in Brikama.
